He's back!

Josh is back from his travels across southern Ireland and popped in to kindly return some maps that I lent him before his departure. Over a cuppa to refresh him I gathered that he had a grand time despite a few hiccups that would have tainted the trip for lesser beings!

The following are the contents of three emails received whilst he was away:

"Hello O'Gobs

nearly didn't get away as bike played up on m5 to luke's wed eve. kept faltering as if running out fuel but discovered much worse when put indicators on so convinced electrical fault. then cut out completely on motorway. breakdown lorry pulled up and quoted 100 quid get me off and said i cound stay there but could see ble turnoff sign in distance so he let me push bike mile off motorway. got plug out - good spark but no fuel. f**k thats all it was it seemed turned on reserve and off. refueled got terribly lost after hour back at junction 22 where i had pushed bike to. back on m5 and to lukes for ginormous g&t and curry.
Day 2 ok for 100 miles then trouble started again. cutyting out - when accelerating dying. but seady 50 ok. got pembroke and had to decide go or not. havingt come so far determined go and chuck bike in hedge if misbehaves. while waiting ticket tried changing spak plug. EUREKA total cure. going like well oiled sewing machine now.
in internet cafe in Dungarvan. if more similar cafe will send more.
cheers
paddy o'minth"

"in internet cafe in dingle.
rained last night - tent wet - packed it up wet with sleeping bag (mistake) now sleeping bag is wet.
got to dingle peninsula - put up tent to dry with gear inside and off over highest pass in ireland. couldn't see a thing - in the clouds. now in dingle. had guinness in hardware shop/pub - didn't see many hardware sales.
beara was best verywhere else is tourist trap.
if all goes to plan i will be back thurs.
O'Minth"

"mad drive from dingle to nearly rosslare last night - 220 miles in 5 hours with stop for all day breakfast at cholesterole soaked spoon. not bad on 30 year old banger that is flat out at 65 ( like me). ferry back and trip through welsh beacons to clevedon for ber and curry. can't avoid rain tomorrow so resigned to my fate. josh ex paddy"

With a bit of luck, and if it's dry, he'll be joining us tomorrow.

Nobby
